I’m an artist, designer, and maker based in Toronto, Canada
I graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design in 1999 with a diploma in Sculpture/Installation, and I have worked as an independent artist and designer ever since.
Early in my career, I collaborated as an industrial designer and fabricator for other artists, often brought in to resolve complex technical and fabrication challenges. This work led to several robotics projects, including a residency in the Institute for Dynamic Systems and Control at ETH Zurich.
My own artistic practice began as a long-standing collaboration with Hallie Siegel. Since 2004, we have developed our concept of “history machines,” producing both small collectible works and large-scale installations that have been exhibited nationally and internationally.
In 2014, I began producing solo work in the form of large, low-relief, wall-mounted Lego sculptures. These works avoid representation—Lego’s conventional use—and instead explore mathematical concepts and abstraction. They have been exhibited and collected both locally and abroad.
